Deeper Roots is a roaster located in the Cincinnat, OH area which officially launched in 2012. They do much more than roast and serve great coffee. Their business extends to consulting, machine sales and maintenance, training, research and development, and working directly with farmers in Guatemala and other countries.
These efforts launch in 2010 as a non-profit effort known as the Espresso Guild, and grew into Deeper Roots Development. This non-profit was created specifically to focus more on their efforts to help farmers own and run their own processing facilities.
Deeper Roots supplies coffee to several cafes and restaurants in the Cincinnati area, and more recently has opened two cafes of its own. Single-origin coffees are their main focus, but they have an excellent line of blends as well. They are committed to sustainability in every area of their business. Even their coffee bags are eco-friendly! They use Biotre 2.0 bags which are almost fully plant-based. (For more information on those check out the manufacturer's site.)
